Kräftig (kref-tik): to play strongly, with vigor and power

Kräftig is a musical direction used often by Gustav Mahler in his symphonies.  Mahler's symphonies, as well as large-scale works by other composers, are the musical inspiration for this triangle.  The sound of the Kräftig is powerful and brash due to it's large size and it's extra-large diameter (5/8").  Our antiquing finish (living finish) is applied to the surface, enriching the timbre.
